Nixon, Blevins and Gage are having a great year meeting and seeing old and new friends. Check out the schedule for where we will be picking. We are happy to be on the Irregardless Café rotating group of musicians for their Wednesday night acoustic performances. Great food there and great place to pick. We’ve picked this year at Pittsboro General Store, Umstead Festival, Irregardless Café, Merlefest, Cary Bond Park and several other places. Last December we traveled to North Wilkesboro to be on the Home Town Opry and local cable access for western NC. Had a great time picking at 7:00 AM before a live audience. We played again at Merlefest and Larry MC’d at the Doc Watson instrument contests. We released our new gospel CD, Pickin’ On Baptists, and have been overwhelmed with the response. Getting lots of airplay. It’s available in Raleigh at Quail Ridge Books and Music and NC Museum of History. It’s available on line at Music Shed and County Sales .
